A Message from our Feeding Therapist, Ashley Waguespack

Here is the reason I cannot help the babies in my practice without the help of a Feeding Therapist 🪄

The same way I refer out my non-baby patients to physical therapy when they present with muscle group dysfunction is the exact reason I refer out newborns to a feeding therapist when they have motor oral dysfunction. When we address the root of the problem—whether it’s oral motor coordination, latch mechanics, or tension patterns—the baby not only experiences quicker results, but they’re also able to hold their adjustments long-term. Chiropractic care and feeding therapy work best hand-in-hand, not in isolation. 🍼

Ashley Waguespack is an incredible occupational therapist with 23+ years of experience 🍼👶 — and most importantly a mom of five herself. She gets it when it comes to pregnancy, birth, and the very real challenges of newborn and pediatric feeding.

Unlike a quick check-in at the pediatrician, Ashley goes deeper. She can pick up where your lactation consultant leaves off and help complete your baby’s feeding journey through the first year of life 🤝✨.

If your goal is to get your baby to latch at the breast again—even after weeks of struggle—she’s your girl. That’s why she comes highly recommended and is in-house at Mama’s Chiropractor every Wednesday.

We simply couldn’t do the same work without her. ❤️

Here is a message from Ashley, our beloved feeding therapist / supermom🦸‍♀️:

Hi Mama,

You knew feeding might come with challenges…

But you didn’t expect this.

The arched back.

The hours of crying.

The “why won’t they latch?” panic.

The sleepless nights.

The endless feeds.

The guessing game every single time.

You’re doing everything you were told to do — and yet it still feels like something is off.

You're tired of hearing:

| “Just keep trying” | “They’ll grow out of it” | “You’re overthinking it” |

---- But deep down, you know this isn’t just a phase.

You’re not being dramatic.

And you’re definitely not failing.

You're just missing the right support and strategy.

And that’s exactly why I created this free webinar:

🍼 “From Dreading Feeds to Feeding Freedom”

đź“… Thursday, October 30th at 2pm (CST)

💡 It’s a short, powerful training designed for busy moms (10 minutes of info you can use immediately)

🧠 You’ll learn one key shift that can help your baby feed better, feel better, and cry less — without waiting weeks for answers.

If you are looking for a guided solution to your baby's tension due to torticollis, lip & tongue ties, birth trauma, or colic and reflux, this is a great start! I have developed easy steps that you can take at home to help guide your 0-6 month old through more rounded head development & increased neck and hip range of motion. Accomplishing these changes alone, will improve digestion (spit ups & gassiness), floor time, and general fussiness. As their bodies regulate and balance, so will their nervous systems. This leads to happier babies who thrive during the next months to come as they blitz through their motor milestone development.
